Insurance Agencies Are Struggling With Staff Issues While Trying to Grow Their Business
A recent industry study also revealed that insurance firms are finding it increasingly difficult to fill open positions from operations and claims to analytics and underwriting…

It is a well-known issue that the insurance industry is vastly understaffed.

According to a study published in Property & Casualty 360 Magazine An Agent Survey conducted by the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents confirms this issue. The study found that 44.6% of agents surveyed in 2021 said that attracting and retaining talent was among their most significant challenges.

That may be why almost half of the agents surveyed in 2022 said finding growth opportunities was among their most significant challenges. Without sufficient staff to serve your existing client base, it is challenging to focus on finding new business.

Independent agents overwhelmingly rely on building relationships and great service to differentiate themselves as they compete to gain new clients. The same survey's most-cited points of business differentiation were relationships (84.5%) and service (83.1%).
